Mapping eParticipation
This event bring together researchers from disciplines such as information systems, communications, sociology, political science and political administration to discuss the development of political participation in the Internet age, and citizen participation in the political decision making process using information and communication technologies. The workshop will cover on the following topics:
- drivers and opportunities for eParticipation across Europe;
- analysis of public eParticipation policy;
- approaches for defining and understanding eParticipation;
- research discourse analysis techniques to explore agenda setting, and alliance building at different levels;
- current and emergent eParticipation technological infrastructures;
- current and emergent eParticipation methods;
- emerging criteria which allow evaluation of eParticipation initiatives to be undertaken in a systematic and standardised way.
This one day event will take place in conjunction with the Seventh Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems and is supported by DEMO-net: the European Network of Excellence on eParticipation.For more information, please visit:
