A research conference entitled 'Food, agriculture, biotechnology' will take place on 18 September in Antalya, Turkey.
The conference will provide a forum for delegates to discuss opportunities for EU research funding in food, agriculture and biotechnology, and participation in the related European Technology Platforms (ETPs). The event will feature a keynote address by Dr Christian Patermann, Director of 'Biotechnology, agriculture and food' at the European Commission's Research Directorate General.
Participants will also learn of the experiences of a Turkish company 'Fjord Marin', involved an Integrated Project under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6); and a representative from the Inter Aegean Innovation Relay Centre (Inter IRC - Ege) on research opportunities for small to medium enterprises (SMEs). The conference will close with brokerage event.
