Technology transfer day on technologies for the shoe industry

A technology transfer day on technologies for the shoe industry will take place in Athens on 8 July 1994.

The event is being organized by the Greek VALUE Relay Centre in collaboration with the Hellenic Leather Centre to provide interested SMEs in the region with the results of current research in the area of shoe industry technologies.

The results which will be presented at the event have been selected from the BRITE/EURAM programme to address local technology needs. The following topics will be covered:
- Automation and integration of cutting and stitching workshops in flexible shoe manufacturing systems (SPRI, France);
- Manufacturing technologies for leather adapted to new adhesion and direct injection processes for the shoe industry (INESCOP, Spain);
- Simulation tools for fashion design and manufacturing (FACE BV, Netherlands);
- Manufacturing processes for flexible materials - instant dying leather products (CTC/ELKEDE, Greece).

The presentation will include technology demonstrations on tool systems.
