Two BRITE/EURAM workshops on "Mining technology" and "Mineral processing, extractive metallurgy and recycling" will take place on 13-14 June in Freiberg, Germany. They are organized in the framework of the second European Metals Conference (14-18 June 1994 in Dresden, Germany).

The two workshops will present 24 BRITE/EURAM research and development projects, bringing together more than 100 representatives of industry, research institutes and universities. The aim of the workshops is to ensure the evaluation, dissemination and exploitation of the results achieved so far in each project. A presentation will be made on the Fourth Framework Programme and on the specific programme on industrial technologies and materials.

The European Metals Conference will examine modern mining and metallurgy, metal markets and areas of production, recycling and waste avoidance.
