EFSA organises November conference on health and nutrition claims

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is holding a three day international conference on nutrition and health claims from 8 to 10 November in Bologna, Italy.

The objectives of the conference are to explain EFSA's scientific role in the context of future EU regulation on nutrition and health claims.

The emphasis of the conference will be on scientific substantiation of claims as well as on the advantages and limitations of different systems for nutrient profiling. The conference will allow national food safety agencies and stakeholders to share their views with EFSA.

EFSA will also offer a Web Cast for the final day of the conference on 10 November from 09.30 to 13.00. This will include a wrap up session to sum up the discussions and draw conclusions.
