The EU-funded Network of Excellence ECNIS (Environmental Cancer Risk, Nutrition and Individual Susceptibility) will hold a one-day meeting on epigenomics and disease in London, UK, on 8 December.

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the role of epigenetics in molecular epidemiology, with particular emphasis on chronic diseases. The meeting will bring to the table participants with backgrounds in nutrition, regulatory standard setting, epidemiology, toxicology, public health and laboratory sciences among others.

The meeting will focus on the following topics:
- nutrition and epigenetics;
- epigenetics and lung cancer;
- communication and epigenetic mechanisms as ignored concepts;
- chemical carcinogens as mutagens;
- epigenetics in the study of chronic diseases;
