Finland will launch the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) nation-wide at a two day seminar to be held in Espoo on 11 and 12 January 2007.

On the first day the content and strategies behind FP7, the project life-cycle, new FP7 funding schemes and participation rules will be presented. On the second day participants may attend a workshop on how to write a successful proposal. The event will conclude with parallel sessions on the different FP7 themes.

Speakers at the event include Deputy Director-General Zoran Stancic from the European Commission's Research DG, and the Finnish Minister of Trade and Industry, Mauri Pekkarinen.
