The event is organised by the CREEN (Critical events in evolving networks) project, funded under the 'New and emerging science and technology' (NEST) priority of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).

The event's programme includes sessions on:
- competing groups and evolving clusters in social networks;
- impact factors of scientists' personal pages;
- dynamic network visualisation'
