An international conference entitled 'What's wrong with Europe?' will take place in Paris, France, from 10 to 12 January, and will present the findings of 16 EU funded projects looking at why people and governments are so far apart.

The projects aim to answer questions on who gets to decide Europe's economic and social policy, how global interests match local interests, and how social research can help policy makers to better understand these issues.

The conference will offer an opportunity to politicians, policy makers, journalists, academics and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to present their views, and to debate and discuss the findings of the projects supported by the EU research programme.For more information, please visit:
