E-health and telemedicine conference

A conference on e-health and telemedicine entitled 'Med-e-Tel' will take place from 18 to 20 April in Luxembourg.

The event provides visitors with an opportunity to discover and evaluate new products, systems and technologies and to hear about the latest developments in e-health and telemedicine.

The educational and conference programme will feature more than 120 presentations and workshops on topics including:

- personal and in-home monitoring;
- use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in independent living for the ageing and disabled;
- disease management and medication compliance;
- maximising the potential of e-health in developing countries;
- funding opportunities for e-health programmes and projects;
- interoperability and standardisation;
- wireless and broadband applications;
