First international workshop on MHEG

A workshop on MHEG, the future international standard for multimedia and hypermedia objects, will be held in Berlin on 25-26 August 1994. It is organized in the framework of the ESPRIT project on open MHEG architecture (OMHEGA).
The aim of the workshop is to work out guidelines for the use of MHEG. It is targeted at anyone interested in the impact of a standard for multimedia and hypermedia objects, especially people considering the use of the MHEG standard in their projects or integrating MHEG components into their developments.
The workshop will start with a general introduction to the MHEG standard and will lead to more specific technical discussions on architecture and applications programming interfaces (APIs). In particular, the results of the ESPRIT project on open MHEG architecture will be examined.
