Mathematicians from five European countries will present applied mathematics as a key technology for a competitive and innovative Europe on 20 March in Brussels, Belgium. The scientists will discuss their work with representatives from the European Commission, from the European Parliament, and from other interested parties.

The scientists will show that mathematical modelling and numerical simulation can be of great help in different areas of research and technology, for example in diagnosing diseases of the Cardiovascular System, in constructing semiconductor laser devices, or in solving problems from metallurgy, the automotive industry, and others.For more information (in German), please visit:
