A conference and exhibition entitled 'Bridging the Broadband Gap: Benefits of broadband for rural areas and less developed regions' will take place on 14 and 15 May in Brussels, Belgium.

The conference will investigate how the strategic use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) can support regional and local development, ease infrastructure and geographical handicaps, and make these areas more attractive to business and individuals alike.

Four European Commissioners, Viviane Reding (Information Society & Media), Mariann Fischer Boel (Agriculture and Rural Development), Danuta Hübner (Regional Policy) and Neelie Kroes (Competition) will attend the conference and exhibition.For more information, please
