A training workshop on methods and guidelines for the development of mutation databases in cancer will be held at the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France on 9 July.

Data on gene mutations related to epidemiological and clinical endpoints are generated at an increasing pace but adequate database projects that compile and organise these data for their useful exploitation are still limited.

The aim of this training workshop is to review the current status of mutation databases in cancer and to provide participants with tools to use and develop mutation databases for their own research. The goal is to stimulate the development and coordination of databases on somatic genetic alterations in human cancers.

The course is aimed at students and researchers whose activities are relevant to the topic.For more information, please visit:
