The Science on Stage festival will be held in Grenoble, France from 2 to 6 April. Around 500 science teachers from some 27 countries are expected to take part in the event, which will showcase the very best of today's science education.

The goal of Science on Stage is to stimulate young people's awareness of and interest in science and technology, by increasing the quality and attractiveness of science lessons in school. The festival programme will offer teachers a unique opportunity to exchange teaching materials and ideas, through the combination of a science teaching fair, on-stage activities and parallel sessions.

The highlight of the festival will be a round table discussion on 'Science education in the age of the knowledge society - strengthening science education in Europe', which will take place on 5 April 2007 with the participation of the European Commissioner for Science and Research, Janez Potocnik.For more information, please visit:
