Prion 2007, the international prion disease conference organised by the NeuroPrion Network of Excellence, will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland, from 26 to 28 September 2007.

The main purpose of the congress is to discuss the latest research being carried out in the field of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSE) and prion disease. The scientific programme will cover contemporary topics in prion disease, always with an emphasis on research data.

Sessions will cover subjects that are important in the TSE field, such as strains: natural and experimental, protein misfolding, pathology and pathogenesis, diagnosis and therapeutics and epidemiology, risk analysis and transmission. Additionally, following on from the success of the 2006 meeting, a separate Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) workshop will be held to address the issues of this emerging epidemic.For more information, please visit:
