Linking in with the festivities for the 50th anniversary of signing of the Treaty of Rome, Green Week 2007 (12 to 15 June) will look back at 50 years of European environmental policy, and will also look ahead to the future.

The week will involve a four-day conference in Brussels, as well as exhibitions in two Brussels locations. Speakers involve Commission President José Manuel Barroso, three other Commissioners, and experts from industry and academia.

The conference will include a session on environmental nanotechnologies - what new tools at the nanoscale can do to protect, clean up and monitor the environment. The session will focus on climate change (energy, adaptation); resource use (new materials, waste); remediation and pollution; and opportunities for developing countries.For further information on Green Week, please visit:
