BCR workshop on "Mycotoxins and toxic plant components"

In the framework of the Community's Measurements and Testing and VALUE programmes, a workshop on "Mycotoxins and toxic plant components" will be held in Lisbon on 13-15 October 1994. It is supported by the European Commission, the World Health Organization's International Programme on Chemical Safety (IPCS-WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Life Science Institute (ILSI-Europe).
The aim of the workshop is to discuss mycotoxins and toxic plant components in and feedstuffs, and to gather important information for future research, such as method and/or instrument development and improvement, certified reference materials (CRMs), detoxification, sampling plans and toxicity. Another objective is the standardization of analytical methods and legislation within the European Union.
The results of the workshop will be published in a special issue of the scientific journal "Natural toxins".
