The symposium will address the challenges and opportunities arising from the increased pressures on universities to develop open interfaces with the business world, and increased competition between the universities themselves as a market for students.
The participants will debate such questions as: Are the old values now outdated? If not, how can they be reconciled with these new 'values'?
