Conference on rare diseases: building on success

A conference on research into rare diseases will be held in Brussels, Belgium on 13 September 2007.
Organised by the European Commission in the context of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), the aim of the event is to:
- increase the visibility of rare diseases research and raise awareness within the 27 EU Member States and the European Parliament of the research needs in this area, thereby benefiting both the rare diseases scientific community and people affected by rare diseases;
- provide the rare diseases community with the opportunity to put forward their research needs;
