EDIT, the European Distributed Institute of Taxonomy, is organising a meeting on DNA barcoding in Europe, which will take place from 3 to 5 October in Leiden, the Netherlands.

The goal of the meeting is to provide a platform for information exchange between European researchers working on DNA barcoding and other DNA sequence-based species identification systems.

The meeting aims to initiate working groups on topics of shared interest that should then carry on after the meeting. One important issue will be how to explore funding opportunities, particularly with a view to the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)For more information, please visit:
