Seventh forum on integrated disaster risk management

The seventh forum on integrated disaster risk management will be held in Stresa, on Lake Maggiore in Italy, from 19 to 21 September.
This year's conference theme, 'coping with disasters: global challenges for the 21st century and beyond', is motivated by the urgent need to think beyond short-term disaster management goals to the challenges that lie ahead in an increasingly populated, urbanised, and complex world.
The themes of the 2007 forum include: industrial risk management; long-term local and global disaster impacts; disaster risk reduction; integrated disaster risk management and sustainable human development.
