An EU-supported symposium on the interaction between climate change and human activity in Africa will take place on 25 and 26 August in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

CarboAfrica is funded under the EU's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), and is organising the event along with the Global Carbon Project. CarboAfrica is working on the quantification, understanding and prediction of carbon cycle and other gases in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The symposium will explore the need for increased research capacity to both understand and manage the carbon cycle in Africa. The latest research results from African urban and regional carbon exchanges will also be presented. For further information, please visit:
