A conference on 'peace processes in community conflicts: from understanding the roots of conflicts to conflict resolution' will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 28 September 2007.

The event is the final conference of the EU-funded Peace-Com project, whose goal is to analyse the causes and developments of community conflicts in Europe and in accession countries, and to develop tools and options for conflict resolution. The project builds upon several in-depth case studies corresponding to a variety of situations from the least violent (for example Belgium, the Slovene minority in Austria) to more violent ones (Northern Ireland, the former Yugoslavia).

At the conference, the outcomes of the project will be presented and discussed in the context of the conflict situations mentioned above.For more information, please visit:
