Investing in knowledge: the World Science Forum

The World Science Forum will take place from 8 to 10 November in Budapest, Hungary. This year's slogan is 'investing in knowledge: investing in the future'.

The event will bring together over 300 scientists and decision-makers from over 60 countries.

The World Science Forum will take place from 8 to 10 November in Budapest, Hungary. This year's slogan is 'investing in knowledge: investing in the future'.

The event will bring together over 300 scientists and decision-makers from over 60 countries.

Topics to be addressed include funding strategies and philosophies in some of the world's richest countries, science policy issues facing rapidly developing nations, and the scope for sustainable development.

Other key features of the programme include:
- representatives from several global fora sharing their experiences with the audience;
- a meeting between Israeli and Palestinian scientists;
- a workshop for MPs dealing with science in their respective parliaments;
- the launch of the International Panel for the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources by the United Nations Environment Programme.For further information, please visit:
