International Mechanism of Scientific Expertise on Biodiversity

The steering committee of the International Mechanism of Scientific Expertise on Biodiversity will meet in Montpellier, France, from 15 to 17 November.

Following a 2005 conference on 'Biodiversity: Science and Governance', an international consultation was launched to assess the need, scope and possible forms of an International Mechanism of Scientific Expertise on Biodiversity (IMoSEB).

Regional partners have now presented their conclusions on biodiversity, and the steering committee will formulate recommendations in Montpellier for 'global expertise on biodiversity decision-making'.For further information, please visit:
