The Central European Initiative (CEI) conference, this year focusing on 'mobilising resources for a common future', will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 20 and 21 November.
Special discussions will take place on energy infrastructure, energy efficiency, and credit lines for the residential sector; on the development of regional railway networks to support freight transport; on technical cooperation needs in the region and how international organisations can respond to those in partnership with donor governments; on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), capacity building and information and communication technologies (ICT).
The topics to be addressed by individual sessions include: ICT research in southeast Europe; moving energy efficiency forwards; the internationalisation of SMEs; and eco-innovation.
