The EU-funded CARBOOCEAN project will be holding its 3rd annual conference in Bremen, Germany, from 4 to 7 December. At the event, European ocean researchers will assess the ocean's role in taking up man-made carbon dioxide, addressing issues such as the decrease of the ocean carbon sink, the increase in 'ocean acidification' and intensifying feedback mechanisms.
Within CARBOOCEAN, basic research is carried out which attempts to predict future greenhouse gas forcing. The CARBOOCEAN consortium consists of 50 international high-level research groups from Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the USA.For further information, please visit:
