5 March 2008 - 5 March 2008
Belgium
The EU-funded COMPERA initiative will hold a workshop on the issue of continuity and long-term strategies for Competence Research Centres (CRCs) in Brussels, Belgium, on 5 March.

Most CRCs in Europe receive their funding from programmes of limited duration. What happens after this initial funding period? How do CRCs make sure that their achievements are not lost and that their results are taken up and used by companies, research institutes and others? Which strategies are possible after this initial funding? What are the differences in Europe between long-term strategies for CRCs? What is the role of developed research agendas, impact measurements?

During the workshop, five CRC managers from different European countries will explain their situation, experiences and opinions on these topics. These presentations will be followed by an interactive session between all workshop participants to exchange experiences and ideas. The conclusions of the workshop will be presented to the COMPERA partner organisations. For more information, please visit:
