eVITA 2008 conference and exhibition

A conference and exhibition on 'infocommunication in the service of everyday life' called eVITA 2008 will be held in Budapest, Hungary on 3 to 5 April.
The aim of the event is to draw the attention of economic players, society, entrepreneurs, families and the public sector to the opportunities offered by ambient assisted living applications (medical instrumentation, portable medical monitoring devices, telecare, homecare and telemedicine services, prevention and management of chronic conditions, ICT-enabled wellness, etc). These applications, which are made possible by recent advances in information and communication technologies, may provide a solution to the problems associated with an ageing population.
eVITA 2008 is also the proposed European launch event of the planned AAL ('Ambient assisted living') Joint Programme.For more information, please visit:
