The kick-off meeting of the new EU-funded MetaHIT ('Metagenomics of the human intestinal tract') project will be held in Jouy-en-Josas, France, on 11 April.

The number of microbes living in our body is ten times higher than that of the human cells. The MetaHIT project aims to boost our understanding of the microbial populations in the human gut. The tools developed by the project will be used to study obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases.For more information and to register, please contact:
