The Teratec symposium on simulation and high performance computing (HPC) will take place on 3 and 4 June in Evry, France.

The symposium will consist of plenary lectures and workshops on the use of simulation in many areas of research and industry, on the evolution of technology (systems and software) and on the training of specialists.

The first day will focus on major HPC programmes in the US, Japan and Europe, followed by a presentation on technological developments and HPC views on four main sectors: automotive, space research, oil exploration, and energy.

On the second day of the event, three specialised workshops will address material science, challenges in the petaflops-range computing, and visualisation-multimedia in HPC. A special seminar will be dedicated to questions of cooperation between France and the US.For further information, please visit:
