The International Conference on Computational Science 2008 (ICCS 2008) will take place from 23 to 25 June in Krakow, Poland. ICCS 2008 is the eighth in a series of conferences and is dedicated to the theme 'Advancing science through computation'.

The aim will be to discuss problems and solutions in the area computation science, to identify new issues, and to shape future directions for research, as well as to help industrial users apply various advanced computational techniques.

Specifically, ICCS 2008 will focus on recent developments in the following areas:

- novel methods and modelling of complex systems for diverse areas of science;
- scalable scientific algorithms;
- advanced software tools;
- computational grids,
- advanced numerical methods;
- fields of application where the above models, algorithms and tools can be efficiently applied such as physical systems, computational and systems biology, environmental systems, and finance.

Attendees will include researchers from mathematics and computer science, and those who are applying computational methods to other areas of sciences, as well as software developers and vendors.

A CORDIS stand will be present at the exhibition.For further information, please visit:
