Course in regulatory toxicology, Kuopio, Finland

A course in regulatory toxicology will be held in Kuopio, Finland, from 25 to 29 August. The event is organised by RA-COURSES, a project funded by the EU's Marie Curie Actions, in collaboration with the CASCADE Network of Excellence and the Finnish Graduate School in Toxicology.

The aim of the course is to provide up-to-date information about international, European and national regulatory processes concerning chemical risk assessment in humans.

The course will cover the following themes:
- international, European and national regulatory organisations,
- different categories of regulated chemicals;
- EU chemicals legislation-REACH;
- regulatory processes for food safety, occupational safety and environmental pollution;
- alternative non-animal tests in regulatory processes.
