A workshop on e-government and digital archives will take place on 11 September in Munich, Germany.

Topics to be covered include:
- concepts for the workflow (e.g. ingest) and submission of digital e-government documents to the archives (e.g. DOMEA, MoReq2);
- models and standards for long-term archiving (e.g. OAIS - Open Archival Information System; RFC 4998 - Evidence Record Syntax - ERS; RFC 4810 - long-term archive service requirements);
- file formats (e.g. PDF/A, TIFF, XML, container formats, file format
validation);
- metadata, metadata standards;
- authenticity and legal matters for long-term archived documents (e.g. TransiDoc; RFC 3161 Internet X.509 public key infrastructure time-stamp protocol TSP; RFC 3126 electronic signature formats for long term electronic signatures, etc.);
- experiences with digital archives;
- cooperation between members of the archival and computer science community.
