The EURECO-GFOE 2008 conference will take place in Leipzig, Germany, from 15 to 19 September. It is a joint meeting of the European Ecological Federation (EEF) and the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GFOE).

This year's theme is 'Biodiversity in an ecosystem context', and the conference addresses issues of international relevance and interest in the fields of ecology and biodiversity. Additionally, numerous EU-funded projects such as ALARM, ALTER-Net, BIOSCORE, COCONUT, DAISIE and MACIS will use the meeting to present their results to the wider scientific community.

EURECO-GFOE 2008 addresses scientists from all European nations and from a broad range of scientific areas in ecology. The conference is also intended as an opportunity to foster cooperation between scientists from different countries and should lead to closer integration between researchers working on specific aspects of ecology.For further information, please visit:
