The European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) in cooperation with the EU-funded Network of Excellence ENFIN ('An experimental network for functional integration') is offering an advanced course on methods for protein function prediction from 1 to 3 September in Hinxton, UK.

The course will provide detailed descriptions of the bioinformatics tools developed with the ENFIN Network and some of their applications. It will be composed of lectures and practical sessions on protein function prediction tools. Basic programming is a pre-requisite as is a good knowledge of biology.

ENFIN, funded under the 'Life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health' thematic area of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), aims to provide a Europe-wide integration of computational approaches in systems biology. Focused on the development and critical assessment of computational approaches in this area, it brings together a range of backgrounds and laboratory contexts to traditional wet-bench molecular biology.For further information, please click:
