A workshop on the recently established Food Cluster Initiative will be held on 8 October in Brussels, Belgium, with the goal of discussing the objectives, development and potential outcomes of setting up European clusters in the food sector.
Established at the beginning of 2008, the Food Cluster Initiative is intended as a tool to build research capacity for enhanced cooperation between European regions. In order to create a more complete EU network of regions involved in the food sector, the initiative builds on and incorporates the work of the Food Innovation Network Europe (FINE), which was supported under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
The workshop will take place in the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities (6 to 9 October).For further information on the workshop, please contact:
