The 23rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition will take place in Valencia, Spain, from 1 to 5 September.

Composed of plenary lectures, presentations, discussions, workshops, field trips and forums, the conference will cover the following subjects:
- advanced photovoltaics (fundamental studies, new types of cells and modules, solar cells, modules and photovoltaic systems for space applications, terrestrial concentrator systems);
- wafer-based silicon solar cells and materials technology (silicon feedstock, crystallisation and wafering, mono- and multi-crystalline silicon cells and materials, processing technology of wafers, sheets and ribbons, handling issues and manufacturing automation);
- thin films (thin film crystalline silicon, amorphous and microcrystalline silicon, ternary thin film cells);
- components for photovoltaic systems (photovoltaic modules, balance of system components, engineering and system integration);
- photovoltaic systems (grid-connected applications, photovoltaic applications in the built environment, photovoltaic off-grid applications);
- photovoltaic deployment (photovoltaic markets, photovoltaics as enabling technology).

The congress is the world's largest in the field of solar electricity with an expected turnout of 3,500 conference participants and 20,000 exhibition visitors. It is supported by the European Commission, the World Council for Renewable Energy (WCRE), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA).For further information, please visit:
