The 14th Micro-optics conference (MOC '08) will be held in Brussels, Belgium, from 25 to 27 September.

MOC '08 provides a central forum for state-of-the-art scientific and technical information covering a wide range of micro-optic topics and related fields from fundamental research in micro-optics to systems and applications including:

- theory, modelling and design (aberrations, dispersion, beam optics, etc.);
- materials and fabrication (semiconductors, crystals, dielectric materials, polymers, etc.);
- measurement and instrumentation (spectroscopy, interferometry, reflectometry, etc.)
- passive devices (fibres and microstructured fibres, waveguides, etc.);
- dynamic and functional devices (switches, modulators, tunable devices, etc.);
- active devices (lasers, array lasers, amplifiers, Terahertz devices, sensors, etc.);
- integration and packaging (monolithic and hybrid integration, mounting and packaging, etc.);
- novel concepts for applications.

MOC '08 is organised by the Department of Applied Physics and Photonics of the Free University of Brussels (VUB) with partial funding provided through the EU-funded Network of Excellence for Micro-Optics (NEMO).For further information, please visit:
