A workshop entitled 'Linkages between the 7FP, CIP and structural funds' will be held on 18 September in Brussels, Belgium.
The one-day event will address issues of regional innovation based on information and communication technologies (ICT) through expert speeches and a roundtable discussion.
Increasingly, information society development in Europe and across European regions has been mainstreamed into regional development plans and structural funds programmes. However, despite many successes, Europe's growth is still slow in comparison with its major established and emerging competitors. Innovation is a key driver for change in general, and for regional development in particular.
