The 2008 NEM Summit entitled 'Towards future media internet' will be held from 13 to 15 October in Saint-Malo, France. It is organised by the Networked and Electronic Media (NEM) Technology Platform in cooperation with the European Commission's Directorate-General for Information Society and Media, the French region of Brittany and the Media & Networks cluster.
The summit aims to be a major conference and exhibition devoted to the field of networked and electronic media and information and communication technologies (ICT). It will provide an opportunity to network and share information and viewpoints on the status of research and development (R&D) and perspectives in this area. The conference will address topics related to:
- electronic media content;
- distributed media applications;
- new media delivery networks and network services;
- user devices and terminals;
- NEM enabling technologies.
It is expected that the event will bring together 400 to 500 representatives from the industry and research ICT community worldwide to share experiences and research results, identify future trends, discuss and identify opportunities for research collaboration including those under the ICT Theme of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).For further information, please visit:
