The EU-funded COMPARE ('Toolbox for Improving the Comparability of Cross-National Survey Data with Applications to SHARE') project will hold its final policy conference on 22 September in Brussels, Belgium.

In addition to providing information about the project itself, the conference will address the following topics:
- Socio-economic disparities in later-life depression;
- Comparability of health care responsiveness in Europe using anchoring vignettes;
- Test-retest reliability of health vignette ratings: evidence from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE);
- Dynamics in work disability reporting using SHARE vignettes;
- Income and jobs;
- 'Do Danes and Italians rate life satisfaction in the same way?' Using vignettes to correct for individual-specific scale biases;
- 'Do perceptions of political efficacy affect quality of life?' Evidence from 10 European countries;
