EuroBIO 2008, the life sciences event of the European Union Presidency, will take place in Paris, France, from 7 to 9 October.

The meeting will include plenary sessions and debates addressing issues such as:
- Biosimilars: Europe must follow, not lead, in the use of biological therapies;
- The food chain: 'from fork to farm';
- Biofuel or food: is there a dilemma?;
- Meeting agri-food production challenges;
- Engineering green chemistry: towards a new eco-industry;
- Can European institutions help defragment the market in healthcare, and hence promote innovation?;
- Traceability along the entire supply chain is a key concern for those involved in the food industry;
- Adapting to biofuel;
- Climate change and the pattern of infectious disease: the butterfly effect.

There will also be a partnering event, careers fair and exhibition.

5,000 delegates and visitors from 20 countries, 120 speakers and 500 clusters and companies are expected to attend.For further information, please visit:
