The PEACH industry event will be held on 12 and 13 November in Turin, Italy. The conference and exhibition is co-organised by the EU-funded PEACH ('Presence research in action') project.
Presence is a theoretical concept describing the effect that people experience when they interact with a computer-mediated or computer-generated environment. Presence research studies how to create the 'real' sensation of virtually being somewhere, alone or with someone else, and has applications in virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, virtual worlds and social presence.
During the event, international experts will discuss present and future markets, give examples of commercial applications as well as research and development (R&D) outcomes.
