Workshop on advanced flexible telecom payloads, Noordwijk, The Netherlands

The European Space Agency (ESA) is organising a workshop on advanced flexible telecom payloads in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, from 18 to 20 November.

The objective of the workshop is to provide an open forum on advanced satcom payload with on-board flexibility capabilities. The event will address different aspects of on-board payload flexibility at coverage, connectivity, channelisation and equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) level with the aim of identifying the key system/payload architectures and related technologies that will allow a power- and cost-effective implementation of future advanced flexible satcom missions.

More specifically, topics include:
- operator views on flexibility;
- flexible payload/system architectures;
- flexible payload/system simulation tools;
- reconfigurable antennas (active and passive);
- digital on board processor equipment and technologies;
- analogue processor equipment and technologies;
- tunable frequency converters;
