European Conference on Synthetic Biology, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Spain
ECSB 2008 is the second conference in a series, and will draw on international expertise from biological disciplines (e.g. genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc) on the one hand and computer sciences and engineering on the other.
The aim is to present a balanced overview of the very latest technologies and research advances pertaining to synthetic biology in general and to the quest for understanding living systems.
Some of the topics to be presented at the conference include:
- DNA sequencing and synthesis;
- chemical and biological networks;
- computational techniques (modelling, data mining, optimisation) for synthetic biology;
- minimal genomes;
- evolution (natural, directed and simulated);
- origins of life;
- biological systems, cell cycles and circuits;
- infrastructures for synthetic biology;
- minimal cells.For further information, please click:
