Workshop on modelling and sustainability, Zurich, Switzerland

AGSME 2009 (Alliance for Global Sustainability - Mission Earth), an international workshop on modelling and global sustainability, will be held on 26 January 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland.

The event aims to bring together tool developers and global modelling practitioners to discuss the desired characteristics of global modelling environments. This includes helping the tool makers develop better modelling software and to support the modellers in their endeavours.

The workshop is concerned with, but not limited to, the following themes:
- data interface protocols;
- distributed global models;
- global modelling;
- inter-model communication protocols;
- model interfaces;
- model applications.

Subject areas range from conflict management and desertification to disease management, energy management, resource management and glacial dynamics.For further information, please visit:
