Symposium on biological surfaces and interfaces, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Spain
Interfaces between synthetic materials and biological systems (biointerfaces) constitute one of the most dynamic and expanding fields in science and technology. By definition, the field is highly interdisciplinary, spanning the disciplines of physics, materials science and engineering, chemistry, biology, bioinformatics and medicine.
The symposium will consist of presentations by internationally renowned researchers, complemented by shorter oral presentations and poster sessions by young scientists. The keynote speeches are intended to put the biointerface field in a larger scientific, clinical and social context. A small-group discussion session is also planned to address social and ethical implications of technologies and scientific knowledge being developed and used in this area.For further information, please click:
