Workshop on 'Multi-carrier systems and solutions', Herrsching, Germany
A number of wireless standards (3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE), WiMAX, IEEE 802.11a/n and DxB) all use spectrally efficient multi-carrier modulation in order to achieve very high rates of data transmission. This trend is expected to continue in the future with the development of the next generation of mobile wireless communications.
The two-day workshop will focus on the following topics:
- evolution and progress within International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) Advanced, LTE, WiMAX, and IEEE 802.11a/n;
- trends in digital broadcasting systems;
- multi-carrier access schemes;
- cognitive radio and dynamic spectrum utilisation based on multi-carrier transmission;
- orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) implementation issues;
- efficient coding, modulation, multiplexing, and detection strategies;
- multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), space-time coding, smart antennas in conjunction with multi-carrier systems;
- synchronisation and channel estimation for OFDM systems;
- navigation/positioning-aided multi-carrier communication.For further information, please visit:
